CARD has Provided Digital Security Training to Online Media Users

CARD, in partnership with Facebook, has provided training on digital security and digital activism for online media users and civil society organization representatives, journalists, and activists. The training was held on the 24th and 25th of 2020 at Intercontinental Addis Hotel. 

The digital security training was given by Atnafu Berhane, digital trainer Program Director at CARD, and Gole Andrew, a Ugandan Digital Security trainer.  In addition, trainers from Global Digital Partners and from Facebook have provided training on understanding online presence, false information, and community standards of Facebook. The training was participated by 24 digital media practitioners. 

The training is the first of a series of public events CARD runs in partnership with Facebook.
