CARD Hosted Consultation Meetings on Freedom of Expression and Challenges Experienced

CARD hosted consultation meetings on the 29th and 30th of December 2020 on the merits and demerits of the social media era on the freedom of expression. The half-day-long consultation meetings were held in the Western Plus hotel with the attendance of online content producers and mainstream media journalists for two days, respectively.

In these consultation meetings aimed at enhancing the understanding of online writers and journalists on the legal frameworks towards freedom of expression as well as their legitimate limits, Dr. Wondimagegn Tadesse of Addis Ababa University made expert presentations where participants reflected on them based on their personal experiences.
