CARD has successfully concluded a two-day safeguarding training for its staff members

The Center for Advancement of Rights and Democracy(CARD) has successfully concluded a two-day safeguarding training for its staff members from July 22 to 23, 2026.

The training focused on institutional safeguarding practices and the identification of contextual safeguarding risks, in addition to strengthening understanding of how and when to report. The training focused on strengthening institutional safeguarding practices by building staff members understanding of organizational responsibilities, policies, and procedures for preventing and responding to safeguarding concerns.

The training also covered the identification and assessment of contextual safeguarding risks, helping participants recognize how factors within co-partner organizations and beneficiary environments can increase vulnerability to safeguarding concerns. Furthermore, the training reinforced participants' knowledge of safeguarding reporting pathways by clarifying when and how to report safeguarding concerns, emphasizing the importance of timely and appropriate action.

At the end of the training, CARD staff members identified key safeguarding priorities and action points to be implemented across the organization and in collaboration with partners to further strengthen safeguarding practices in their respective areas of work.
